"Why Not You"

Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you?

Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?

Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?

Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?

Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?

Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?

Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?

Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?

Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?

Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?

Today is a new day!
Many will seize this day.
Many will live it to the fullest.
Why not you?

Stop Dreaming Do It

Abraham-Hicks Quote for Dec 24, 2009

Say yes to whatever it is. Because if you say yes to it and then you get in the middle of it, and you say, "Uh oh, this isn't really turning out the way I wanted it to," then out of that is born another desire. And as you say yes to that, then it turns out. And you say, "Well, it's still not quite right." So you have another desire... Until eventually you get it exactly right. You cannot get it wrong. No creation is ever complete. Just do it.

--- Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop in Tucson, AZ on Tuesday, February 15th, 2000 #298

Our Love,
Jerry and Esther

What Abraham is saying is to "welcome" all things that happen in our lives because if when we don't it causes resistance.  If there's resistance then it will stop the good from flowing into your life; into all our lives.

Everything going on in our life is because of our thoughts.  No, perhaps you didn't **specifically** ask to loose your job or get a disease, but our lives are based on patterns.

If you have a pattern in your life of believing that nothing comes easy and life is hard and no matter what you do, things never seem to work out, then guess what?  Law of Attraction will GIVE you EXACTLY what you've been focused up.   Your life WILL be hard, NOTHING will work out for you, and NOTHING will come easy to you.

So, over the years maybe faces in your life will change and the places you go will change, but overall you'll keep living the "same" life because that's exactly what YOU EXPECT and have been throwing out to the universe.

I'm sure you've heard the saying "The rich get richer and poor get poorer."  Well, that is the Law of Attraction at work, again.  The rich EXPECT to get rich, that's what they do and it comes very naturally to most.  The poor EXPECT to be poor.  Be honest, if you are a person considered "low income" how often do you tell yourself things like:

-I'm never going to be rich

-I have no connections and I was born into the wrong family.  This is the best I can expect for the rest of my life.

-I must be paying for something I did bad in another life

-Everyone else seems so lucky. I must be cursed.

And on and on and on2scious in the negative.

Click on TYLER PERRY to read how this man went in 7 years from being HOMELESS to a MILLIONAIRE, by writing down his goals.

Click on STUART SHARP to read how this man, also homeless wrote a symphony with NO musical training. It took years, but now it has been recorded by the London Philharmonic and Stuart is a millionaire.

These men did not let their situations get in the way of their DREAMS. They visualized what they wanted from life and  it made no matter that they were "homeless" and a zillion miles from being "millionaires."  They followed their dream.

It only takes 3 steps to go from where you are to where you want to be:

1) Ask for what you want

2) The Universe, God, Source, Infinite Intelligence (whatever name YOU give "it" will do the work and bring it to you. It is NOT up to figure out how or from whom all you have to do is step 3

3) Allow...Let go and Let "God" or whatever name you're comfortable using. Be at peace KNOWING that Source lives in you and only wants the best for you and will arrange circumstances to happen to get you what you want.

I am NOT saying to just sit in a church or your room and pray to God (or whomever) to make your life better.  I'm saying make an affirmation that you can REALLY believe...for example:

I intended to have $500.00 by January 15th, 2009. While I may not know how Source is going to bring this money to me, I'm so thankful and appreciative that this not my job. Source will do what's necessary to make it so.

As you're saying your affirmation really FEEL that $500. and how wonderful it will feel having it in your possession.  Do NOT think "I have to get that $500 or I'll be evicted."  See if you do that it means you're asking for the money from a place of "need" and "desperation" and the vibes you'll be sending out will be negative, not positive. So, it's not really your words the Law of Attraction picks up on, but your most prevailent feelings. If you feel desperate, needy, wanting, then I can guarantee you 100% you will NOT get the money and instead you'll get  more things happening in your life to make you feel want,  need and desperation because that is EXACTLY what your sending out to the Universe.

You have to STOP looking at what's "real" around you and see what you WANT to have happen in your life. If you're out of work, and with no money you have to make an effort to visualize yourself WITH a job and WITH money and "feel" the wonderful feeling of working and having money flow into your life.

Otherwise my friends, you're life will just be more of what you are currently experiencing.

A classic definition for crazy person is:  A person who does the SAME thing over and over and expects a DIFFERENT result.

You will NEVER see a change in your life if you keep thinking the SAME thoughts over and over. Not now, not ever.

If you want to change your life YOU have to do the changing and stop blaming your spouse, your parents, your boss, the economy, God, or the Government.

Only YOU can change YOU and get in synch with the bountiful life that your Source has waiting for you. He/She/It will NOT come down to your level.  YOU need to rise UP and meet Source.

 With much love and light,

Theresa

About Positive Thinking

The last but not the least positive thinking word is:  PEACE!!!!

I leave you peace; my peace I give you.  I do not give it to you as the world does.  So don't let your hearts be troubled or afraid.  (John 14:27).

                                     ******************************

                                                            PEACE            By Norman Vincent Peale

I'm going to tell you something that a good friend of mine, a businessman, told me:  "Everything in the Bible works."  When you live according to the Bible, you will receive what the Bible promises.  When you fix upon God and His great strength, rather than nervously consider conflicts, irritations and responsibilities, that stretch before you, then peace will be yours.

If the peace of God, as the Bible says, passes all understanding, so does it defy all description.  I can only tell you that God's peace is a feeling high above fear, trouble and dread.  Trust the Bible's promises and claim the peace God wants you to have.  The more you surrender your hurt, confusion, tension, and failures to Him the wider He will swing open the door to peace.

The next word of positive thinking is:  SACRIFICE!!!

The sun will not hurt them, and no heat will burn them, because the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd.  He will lead them to springs of water that give life.  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Revelation 7:16-17).

                             **************************

                               SACRIFICE        by Norman Vincent Peale

I will never forget the tired, patient faces of the soldiers of the Seventh Marines, many of them just boys.  Their commanding general had told me that the regiment had suffered losses and would suffer more.  As I looked out over their ranks I thought of how their fallen comrades had hoped to go home some day to walk the tree-lined streets of their towns and to see their parents and their sweethearts or their wives again.  Instead they had sacrificed all that, but their sacrifice is testimony to a dream.  The dream is that we're going to build on earth a state of affairs where we will live together in love and peace and harmony regardless of racial origin or national background or any difference--to live in the way God intends His kingdom to be.

The next one is  PERSEVERANCE!!!!

But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again.  They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired. (Isaiah 40:31).

                          ***********************

                         PERSEVERANCE          by Norman Vincent Peale

Never talk defeat, for if you do you can talk yourself into accepting it.  Do not hug the shore; do not fear high places.  Think high and wide and deep and far.  Mohammed said, "God is with those who persevere," and Shakespeare obsrved that "much rain wears the marble."

When i was a boy, after an especially gloomy session in Algebra class, I informed my mother that I would never understand it.  "I just can't get it.  I can't, I can't."  She fixed me with level gaze and said, sharply and crisply, words that have served me ever since:  "You can if you think you can."  What power lies within these words and in you when you truly believe them.

Do you have a big goal, an impossible dream?  Then let your faith rise up as an eagle in the sky; believe in your dream, believe God wants you to have it.  Think high and wide and deep and far, and God will lead you to your dream.

The next one i would like to share is  PATIENCE!!!

Do not change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but be changed within by a new way of thinking.  Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect. (Romans 12:2).

                                   *********************

                                                PATIENCE

If you had to make a choice between God's time and your time, which would you choose?  I thought so.  So, rest in the Lord.  Don't think you can handle everything on your own.  Don't let the tension and tumult waiting on God's perfect timing.

God will see to it that all you really need, you can have.  But it has been said that the mills of the gods grind slowly.  Picture a great wheel dipping into the stream of history, a great wheel that keeps rolling with a slow and certain motion.  Think of this slow and certain wheel as God's wheel.  It never makes mistakes; it is unerring.  Its slow, sure movement will grind out justice.  God doesn't always win in a hurry, but He always wins.

The next positivie thinking word is  TRUST!!!!  For me, Lo-Lo This one is a hard for me being that this is something that is earned and sometimes takes a while to believe.  There is one person you can surely trust at no cost and that is God.

Ask, and God will give to you.  Search, and you will find.  Knock, and the door will be opened for you. (Matthew 7:7)

                              *********************************************

                                                      TRUST               by Vincent Norman Peale

We live on a trust basis every day.  We trust the motorman of a train, the driver of a bus, the cook in a restaurant.  We put our lives completely into the hands of these people, and usually we don't even know them.  Here we are on this earth, a whirling island in the sky, wholly dependent on God without giving our total dependence on Him much thought.  Yet He is the only One deserving our complete trust.

When you ask God for an answer to a prayer, never doubt that you will get a perfect answer.  One reason we do not get answers to our prayers is that we ask, but do not really expect to receive.  We are expert askers, but inexpert receivers.

How may we trust God in life's daily affairs?  One way is to know and love God.  Whenever you know God, His goodness, kindness and faithfulnes, you will trust Him.  When you feel uncetain, say the following to yourself:

I put my life in God's hands

I will trust God's guidance

I leave the outcome to God

Believe that God has all the answers to your troubles.  Don't be afraid to do what He guides you to do.  Trust Him.

The next one to share is:    COMFORT!!!!

Surely your goodness and love will be with me all my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever> (Psalm 23:6)

                                               **********************

No matter how dark it gets, how lonely or dejected you feel, you are not alone.  Whenever anxiety or disappointments come, repeat:  "I am not alone.  God is with me."  Thankd God constantly for watching over you.  After every journey thank Him for His protecting care.  In every difficult situation thank Him for seeing you through.

Visualize yourself and your loved ones as always being protected by the everlasting arms of God and supported by His great hand.  Remember:  God alone is steadfast and unchanging  in a world of pain and insecurity.  Because God loves you and is always with you, you can have cofidence that, if you live His way to the best of your ability and put your trust in Him, you will endure.

The next one i would like to share is ASSURANCE.

God's kingdom is within you. (Luke 17:21).

                    *****************************************

When you are filled with despair and doubt your ability to rid yourself of it, don't say to yourself, "I can't do it; I haven't got it in me."  On the contrary, you have a very big "it" within you.  You have the kingdom of God within you.  You have only to believe in the strenth God has placed in each of us to release it and make it work in your life.

One of the most powerful traits in human nature is that when you maintain a mental attitude of trust and faith--when you hope, dream, believe, pray and work toward God's assurance--you will ceate conditions in which every good thing can come to you.  Fill your mind with the positive power of spiritual expectancy, and God and His good will come into your life.

The next one i would like to share is PREPAREDNESS.

                              PREPAREDNESS             by Norman Vincent Peale

You need to put on God's full armor.  Then on the day of evil you will be able to stand strong. (Ephesians 6:13)

                                                  ************************

Consider what putting on "God's full armor" really means to you.  The Ephesians chapter that recommends this is a richly symbolic description of how a person who is strong in the Lord can tap into His power.  By arming yourself in faith in the way an ancient warrior prepared himself for battle, you can face life's toughest challenges--the "evil day."

Today's armor is put on by girding yourself with truth.  When encircled with truth, nothing can get through your spiritual defenses to defeat you.  The breastplate of righteousness is the assurance you get from goodness and rightmindedness.  Take up the shield of faith to protect your heart, your vital center.  When you have faith in your heart, your life center is protected.  The helmet of salvation will clear your head of negative thoughts.  Finally, seize the sword of the spirit, the bright and shining sword of God's power and with it strike out against evil.

Put on God's full armor, be strong in the Lord and feel the power of His might.

The next one i will share is on Hope.  I personally believe that if we don't have hope then we have given up and waiting to die.  Although i am battling with chronic pain, depression and much more, i have never stop having hope that God's Grace and Mercy will one day take it all from me.

                                                   HOPE                 by Norman Vincent Peale

So i tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you. (Mark 11:24)

                                  ******************************

You're never defeated, never beaten down as long as you have hope.  Keep this thought in mind always as difficulties, sorrow, sickness and trouble come upon you.  Have you heard that old saying that where there is life, there is hope?  I suggest you turn it around:  Where there is hope, there is life.  Form a pictue in your mind, not of lack or denial or frustration or illness, but of prosperity, abundance, attainment, health.  You will receive as a result of prayer exactly what you think, not what you say.  Therefore, practice believing even as you pray that you will receive God's boundless blessings--that they are already on their way to you.  When you live with hope in your heart, in your mind and in your spirit, you have discovered one of life's most powerful secrets.

About Positive Thinking

THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE WITH YOU BECAUSE IT PERTAINS TO ME AND PROBABLY OTHERS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH CONFIDENCE.  I HAD IT BEFORE BUT LACK IT NOW DUE TO DEPRESSION, FEAR, AND ANXIETY.  YES I HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND JESUS CHRIST AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR BUT AT TIMES MY FLESH GETS WEAK AND MY MIND GETS WEAK AND I SOMETIMES ALLOW THE DEVIL TO FOOL ME WITH THOSE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS.  THAT IS WHY WE NEED EACH OTHER TO HELP GET US THROUGH THIS AND TO REBUKE THE EVIL DEVIL.

                                       CONFIDENCE         by Norman Vincent Peale

God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

                                           **********************

You don't need to go through life in a spirit of fear.  I tell you in the name of God you don't.  How can you be free of it?  I will answer in four words: Faith cancels out fear.  Faith is stronger than fear, much stronger.  When fear comes, counter it with an affirmation of faith:  Fear no evil, for God is with you.

Love overcomes fear.  Acting lovingly will promote trust, confidence and dependence on God.  Live with the thought of being in God's care--of Him loving you--and you will develop a sound mind where no shadowy fear can lurk.  You will open wide the gate to confident living.

Suppose the Lord were with you right now, sitting in the same room with you, or walking alongside you as you go from place to place so that you feel His shoulder alongside yours, hear the sound of His footsteps and look into His face.  Then would you be afraid?  Of course not.  Well, He is there when you have Him in your heart and when you truly believe that He wants the best for you.

Paradigms

For those of you with posts I've responded to...        please understand...   I felt compelled by your situations to respond..     the 'advice" should be seen as suggestions only..   Obviously I do not live in your state or walk in your shoes, but because my steps have, in some instances, been similar to yours, I offer only suggestions of resources to try, if they fit your situation.

For those who seem to be stuck in an ongoing circumstance of joblessness, homelessness, low income, no income, health issues, etc, etc,....      the last thing you may want to hear is that you can help yourself, but, you CAN.  TRULY!!       It takes a shift in your paradigm.. your beliefs; what you think, and what you do.  When we spend our days and nights thinking about the mess we're in...   " I don't have enough money to pay the bills",  "I feel so tired all the time",  "life is so hard for me", "There's never enough food to go around".    These thoughts and words may all be true...   they must be or you wouldn't be saying or thinking them, but the more we think them, the more those circumstances will remain a part of our life.     But... what might happen if we spent those moments thinking, "I have all the money that I need", I have more than enough to pay all my bills", "I feel great!!"  "My family has all that we need to live abundantly".

This woman is nuts, you say... ?     on my better days, perhaps (lol)  But there is something about the power of positive thinking..   We draw to us what we think about...  if we think in negative terms, we will continue to see negative in our life.    Alternately, if we think positively, then more positive things will come into our lives.  It seems simple, and it is, but it is not easy.     It takes some work to shift our way of thinking and to think of positive, good things when all around us there seems to be negative.

Start with some simple steps....     try keeping a Grateful and Good Feelings Journal.  Each day, write about one or two things that you are grateful for. It doesn't matter how small or insignificant it may seem.    Maybe you're grateful for a favorite pillow, or a roof over your head or a good friend you have.  Whatever it is, there is power in thinking it and writing it down.  A Grateful Rock is also a good tool-- carry a rock in your pocket and each time you feel it throughout the day, stop and think of one thing you are grateful for.     I have a smooth, flat stone that I carry.   My ex-husband gave it to me a long  time ago and you know what I think about when I feel it in my pocket?     I think, "thank you for giving me up so that I could find someone who I can be myself with, someone who truly values me and lets me grow and learn".   If my ex hadn't been a drinker, if he hadn't refused to give it up, I might still be there, miserable.   I can also be grateful to my ex for my two wonderful boys.    You know what you are grateful for.

Another thing I am doing is making a vision board.   Create a poster or board of things you want in your life---lots of money, a particular house you like, a college education, a vacation or somewhere you've always wanted to  go. Find pictures or cut out words or write them down and cut them out and put them on the board.  Put the board in a prominent place where you will see it all the time and think of those things you want.    My husband and I have our target weights-- the weight we want to be,--  taped to the frig.   We see it every time we go to the frig for a snack.       We have pictures of cars we like and would like to have.  We have an interior picture of a vehicle we like so we can imagine ourselves in that car, driving it, feeling the leather seats, the sunroof over  our head, the music playing on the stereo.  We have pictures of Ecuador, a place we would like to live someday.

It is natural human tendency to move toward what we focus on.  If we focus on negative, we will get negative; if we focus on positive, we will get positive.

I posted some inspirational videos on my  blog page for you to enjoy.  They are simply another tool, a visualization tool to help start the flow of positive thinking.   Watch them as often as you like.   You can also visit YouTube for other inspirational videos.

Dog Lessons

That's our family dog Simba.  He got hit by a car back in May 2008.  My son and I miss him a lot.

It was amazing how he can escape from our backyard, the house... Simba was the epitome of the phrases "if there's a will there's a way" and "die trying".  He was a chubby dog but was so flexible that he can escape from tight corners and low gates.

I think about Simba a lot and nowadays I smile when I remember him.  My life is not perfect, I have my tight corners and small spaces that sometimes I dont know how I will fit into it or how I will escape from it but with a little humor, lots of prayers and positive thinking somehow they work out.

Cheer up and smile, this way you will find peace around you.

Please help me be debt-free

Hello all,

I'm looking for help to pay off my various debts. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. I built up £40K of debts in the past years and am struggling to get back on track. I have a good job now, but need to at least decrease my overall debt a bit in order to get back on my feet. Most of my monthly wages are spent just to pay interest on debt and I really can do with some help.

I don't have any kids and appreciate there are people in far worse situation than me. I am young, healthy and have a job. So if you are looking for a very worthy cause, I don't think I am the most needy or desperate case. I accumulated my debts after a relative fell ill and I spent a few years flying in and out of the country, helping out with hospital bills and eventually giving up my job for a year. Thankfully, they recovered and I am back at work. But I do need someone to help me and would be most grateful if you are in a position to do so.

Any help you can offer will be met with great thanks, even positive thinking! If I manage to half my debts, it would already be a fantastic start.

Thanks for reading!

Lou
